For those that prefer the sport of golf you are spoilt for choice with a host of fabulous courses (some more famous than others).
You can enjoy the John Muir Way for miles just by stepping out the door and combine that with a wealth of history, architecture and wonderful scenery The Linton is the perfect place to enjoy all of East Lothian and beyond.
The village itself offers a wealth of history and people have lived and worked in the area for over 5000 years within the Parish of Prestonkirk.
The Linton was originally called The Golden Lion Hotel (detailed in 1835 by a local minister) then changed its name to The Red Lion and again to The Bridgend (1980’s) and is now known as The Linton. No matter the name the welcome is always guaranteed to be warm and friendly. |
